James River Journal is a community based news organization. In an effort to keep all news unbiased and to ensure all voices are heard, major sponsors and investors are not accepted. All funding is provided by local advertisers and contributors.

James River Journal does not accept money for ads or notices placed by munincipalities or whenever tax dollars are involved. All such notices are placed without charge.
Special Announcements are $10 for a three day run.
